Delete Your Account

You can delete your 1Quest account and the personal data attached to it at any time. This page explains exactly what is removed, what we are required to keep, and how to make the request. 1Quest is operated by Topseer Tech Private Limited.

You will be asked to sign in first, so that only you can delete your account.

1. How to delete your account

  • From the app. Open the menu, then tap Delete account under Account.
  • From the web. Go to https://prep.1quest.app/account/delete and sign in with the phone number registered on your account.
  • You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone.
  • If you have lost access to your phone number, write to help@1quest.app from the email address on your account. We will verify your identity and delete the account within 30 days.

2. What is deleted

The following are deleted permanently and immediately:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your sign-in credentials. You will be signed out of every device and will not be able to log in again.
  • All documents in your Topic Vault, including the files you uploaded.
  • All answer evaluations, including the answer sheets and images you uploaded for assessment.
  • All answer co-write sessions and the drafts written in them.
  • Your activity history, saved preferences and onboarding responses.
  • Any cached AI output generated specifically for you.

3. What is retained, and why

Indian law requires companies to retain financial and taxation records for a prescribed period. We therefore retain the following even after your account is deleted:

  • Invoices and payment records.
  • Your credit purchase and usage ledger.
  • Subscription records.

These records are anonymised. Your name, email address and phone number are removed from them at the moment of deletion, and nothing that identifies you personally remains attached.

We do not use retained records for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than statutory compliance and financial reconciliation.

4. Timing

  • Deletion of your account, personal data and content happens immediately when you confirm.
  • Copies held in routine encrypted backups are overwritten in the normal backup rotation, within 30 days.
  • Requests made by email are completed within 30 days of us verifying your identity.

5. After deletion

  • Deletion cannot be reversed. Deleted content cannot be recovered by you or by us.
  • Any unused credits on your account are forfeited on deletion and are not refundable. Please see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • You are welcome to return. Signing up again with the same phone number creates a new, empty account; it does not restore the deleted one.
